Creating dynamically changing assignments with WebAssign

Dr. Dimitrios Christou is Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at Deree - The American College of Greece. His current teaching involves courses in the areas of Calculus and Computational Mathematics, and he is the Math Area Program Coordinator of the Department of Science and Mathematics. He has also taught Numerical Analysis software applications at undergraduate level for the students in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Athens and has participated in various research activities in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics of the University of Athens and the Systems and Control Centre of the City, University of London in the areas of Linear Systems, Optimization, and Approximate Algebraic Computations (Hybrid computations – Algorithm design & development). His research contribution has been disseminated in scientific journals and international conference proceedings.

Dr. Christou’s goal as an educator is to motivate students to explore, seek out new knowledge, and be independent learners. He has been using Cengage’s WebAssign to support in-person and online teaching and his ongoing research interests includes exploring the use of new technologies for the teaching of mathematics.
