Online Teaching Tools for Economics exclusively for the Arab World

Dr Andrew Ashwin is an Associate Lecturer in the International Business School at the University of Lincoln where he teaches across a range of online and face-to-face courses including an MBA programme, and commercial and operational management at master’s level in the Lincoln Institute for Agriculture and Technology. He spent 20 years in teaching before moving to the University of Bristol as a content developer for an online website for teachers and lecturers in Economics and Business. He later moved into higher education publishing and was the Head of Higher and Vocational Education Publishing for a leading international publisher, where he led a team publishing across Business, Accounting and Finance, Economics, Psychology, Management, and Strategy.

Andrew has an MBA in International Educational Leadership from the University of Hull and gained his PhD from the University of Leicester researching into the assessment of threshold concepts and troublesome knowledge in economics and business. He was the Chair of Examiners for a major UK awarding body and is a subject specialist consultant in Economics for the examinations regulator, Ofqual. He is also a Chartered Educational Assessor. Andrew has an extensive publication history which includes Cengage’s Business Economics, 3rd edition and The Business Environment, 1st edition undergraduate texts, along with collections of case studies, and journal articles related to his PhD research. He has also worked on the development of a wide range of online learning tools for Economics.
